Honest, Truthful Look at the Invisible Scarring Abuse Leaves

Anna is a close friend of mine. She has written this book in a way that triggers are acknowledged but not presented in a way that causes flashbacks or for one to relive his or her own traumatic experiences. These women who have shared their stories are incredibly brave! Anna did a wonderful job portraying their stories while respectfully maintaining their privacy and their dignity. This book will empower you to see the hidden signs of abusive relationships and how one is able to use their own rock bottom to build a strong foundation for better things to come. Hopefully, after reading this book, you'll be able to see what people are trying to hide regarding their own abusive relationships and lend them this book.

This book is a practical guide for any woman, any age to avoid the pit of abuse or perhaps understand her childhood and the way women around them were treated. The stories Anna shares are powerful. The summaries and checklists are very helpful. I can see this book being a very good tool for individual women and girls, mothers and daughters, or groups to study together. Reading about abuse can be very difficult, but the way Anna has crafted this book leaves you feeling empowered more than saddened.

Very well written and presented to unveil issues that many young women face as well as insight on how to identify and avoid unhealthy situations. The book is filled with sensitive, practical tips for addressing "uncomfortable" circumstances from a positive approach. This book reflects a tremendous amount of research and heart-felt tenderness from a women to women, for women. Excellent!
