Interesting and Insightful

The quote which the author uses at the beginning of the book actually sums up the entire book.

The main aim of this book is to explore reasons why ‘people from all over the world are living in confusion and are in search of answers to numerous problems’. The author believes that discovering what is missing i.e ‘the missing root’ would help people find balance, purpose and hope for life.
This book gives a lot of useful insight into the issues that young people in particular have to contend with on a daily basis. The author offers his own view of what the reasons and solutions to these problems could be.
Chapter 5 stood out for me because I think if society can regain it’s lost values and teach the younger generation to appreciate these values ,a lot of the problems associated with purpose and identity would be resolved. What the author says in this chapter is ‘spot on’.
It is evident that a lot of effort has been put into into writing this book . It is backed up with research and personal stories that make the book easy to relate to.

A simple guide for tomorrow's generation

Most of the books I read about life tackles problem brought about by one's own decision making. This is the first book I read which tackles what other books seldom touch. Modernization and new technology gives us comfort and ease but at the same time pushes us to be lazy and anti-productive. Social media effects us in a way that we live in a world where everything seems true but in reality they are not. The new generation should be the first one to read this book. Attitude and mental-state wise, the young ones is addicted to the comfort and entertainment and false relationships this world holds. This book is a good way of explaining to them what the root of the would be problem is and why and how it will be a big nuisance for them someday.
