“This Bio goes out to all my hater’s who apparently became my motivators!” LOL! Jk. Born to the proud parents of Herman and Ernestine Page in Chicago, IL, Latonya is the youngest of 7 children, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers. Beverly being her favorite who showered her with plenty of hugs & kisses. Her parents were married for 45 years and her mother died in 1991. Her childhood memories were dysfunctional like most black people, hampered by what was missing. Latonya remembers a whole lot of arguing among her siblings. Weekly trips to church with her mother. She remembers how awful her school years were being bullied everyday from second grade till her junior year. Despite the bullying Latonya lived, her life (Out loud and colorful) her way…and still does. She’s loved learning, although hindered by bullies at Whistler Elementary and Corliss High. In the Music room in High school is where Latonya through all the fear, hurt and pain she endured, found her talent of being a Writer. She’d write poems for hours. Latonya became an avid reader. Finished High school and attended DePaul University. Being a traditional student wasn’t her forte, so, she completed Pharmacy Tech course. Never satisfied with working for someone else Latonya dream of becoming an Entrepreneur someday, held close to her heart. She believed in her ability to write. Words were also the best tool for mending her brokenness. Naturally, outspoken, caring, kind hearted and loving She worked in Social Services, as Foster Parent where she received the “Foster Parent Of The Year Award. Transportation/Railroad and Customer Service, amongst other small jobs. Even still, Latonya followed her heart and continued to write. In the early 90’s she wrote her first manuscript and later several books that were never published. She always felt that her determination as a writer would have a profound impact on the Publishing World. Today, She is doing what she loves at the age of 50. She is the proud Author of Three Novels that she’s hoping will become Best Sellers. She realized early on that having multiple degrees did not have any merit on one’s depth, passion, and ability to write from the heart. With potential to reach the hearts of the masses. She is brilliant, smart, witty, self-taught, and well versed on many subjects. Each one of her Books gets better and better as she cultivates her Craft. From Pain to Prestige, Latonya desires to become the next World Renowned Author. Ase.
