You may find many books about pregnancy, sensible diet and proper intake on minerals, vitamins, supplements, and more, that must be part of any expecting mother in order to bring a healthier pregnancy to an adequate and happy finish. Although, not all pregnancies will end successfully, time and experience has proven that a sensible diet with a complete regular intake will provide us with the most important elements to keep our bodies healthy, strong, happy and beautiful.
This book contains proven advice in order to keep a mom to be and her child in control through a healthy diet. easy to follow & lots of helpful info.

I picked up this book in order to help me make better dietary choices during my pregnancy since I am a busy work at home mother I sometimes fall prey to the less-than-healthy, fast, easy options out there. After reading this book in its entirety, I believe it will also be also helpful for reminding me to make better choices after pregnancy as well. the meal plans are easy to follow, easy to prepare, & nutrient dense.
This book explains in detail the different dietary needs for pregnant women in order to help us consume a nutritious, well rounded diet.
It goes into detail about what constitutes a serving. for example, 3 oz of cooked meat, 3 oz of cooked fish, 4 tbsp of peanut butter, 1/2 cup of cooked lentils or peas all constitute 1 serving of meat/protein.
This book reminds us we don't need to "eat for two" in the traditional sense of gobbling down everything we want, & going back for seconds. For most women, during the majority of our pregnancies we don't even need much more than the typical 2000 calories a day. towards the end of our pregnancies an extra 200-300 calories is all we need. So as you can see, pregnancy is no reason to binge eat all those extra cakes & cookies. 200 calories can be used up pretty quickly, so it's important that we make wise choices in order to get all the vitamins, minerals, & protein we need to stay as healthy as possible & give our babies the best start in life. This book is written in very poor English

I just picked up this book today in order to supplement my diet because I am pregnant. The first page of the book was a giveaway to the rest of it. The English is poorly written and it seems that the author is either foreign or did not properly proofread the material. Some of the recipes call for kilo grams so I do not think this would be good for the American people. So there is a recipe so there is a recipe that uses peanut butter when there has been talk about not using it during pregnancy. It is hard for me to validate the rest of the book when the English is so poorly written. I think the author should go back and proofread her material and then publish this on Amazon. for this reason, I have to give it three out of five stars and will look to other material for proper nutrition during my pregnancy.
