Great dating advice!

You would think that attracting a guy would be simple. Just dangle what he wants in front of him, right? Wrong. So many women have tried that only to be left brokenhearted. But what I love about this book is that it absolutely does not sugarcoat the issue of attracting men. It gives you advice that is clearly written and straightforward. These are tips that will not only help you attract men, but will also allow you to work on yourself in the process so you can be the best you can be. The authors obviously understand men! The book explains how to “put yourself out there” while always keeping an element of mystery about you. This is a method of attracting guys that will always leave you with your self-confidence and dignity. It seems to be targeted to a young adult crowd, but honestly, a lot of the information would be good for someone older who is back in the dating game.

Amazing Dating Advice for Straight Women

I love so many things about this book. First, I didn't have to look completely lame and buy a dating self-help book in person - which is always a plus. With that being said, the cheap price tag was about all I expected to get out of this book... I was so wrong! The advice offered in this book makes so much more sense than anything I've ever read in women's magazines like Cosmo, In Style, or Glamour. Samuel & Katz actually provide details about why they recommend the tips they provide rather than giving advice that feels like it just came out of a fortune cookie. Some of the advice given seems like "common sense" to me, but I have SO many friends who don't abide by these rules and are consistently single - so maybe I'm just more hip to what guys think than most. Other tips (like what to wear rules and make up suggestions) were less intuitive but seem legit based on what I've been able to glean from ex boyfriends and my guy friends and what I've asked them about since reading this book. The last, but perhaps best part, is the delivery. This book was really funny, so I didn't feel like I was reading a training manual or textbook. It's a quick read, but even with short books I don't want to be tempted to skip to the end hoping the good parts are all there. All-in-all, I definitely would recommend this if you're looking for love and are sick of dating guys who stop calling back or who shut down when you hit them up. I'm definitely going to be recommending this book to all my lovelorn girlfriends!
