Good book. But personal pet peeves.

The storyline is great. Enough realism with sci-fi to make it even more engaging. But that is everything by Power. If you have read the infected, you might taste a bit of Proxy in the hero. If you haven't, then what are you waiting for?
The only negatives I could give are personal pet peeves. The random focus of sex. And characters thinking about getting sex from this person or that person. From literally nowhere, tend to get a little stale. Same with the habit of the main male lead being most strident in his heterosexuality, to the point its mentioned rather quickly that "he likey da women". No it's not said that way in the book. But honestly. Just like the repeated, I would do her.. and her... and her.. and could totally use a bj now. Even though I am in mad pain, have no real bearing on the story.

I do like P.S Powers other books, but this one, I had to force myself to finish reading it...I just could not get into it.

Boring and weird

First off, the book was boring...little to no action and the same with regards to a plot. Second, and more disturbing, was the question marks that showed up in weird places all through the book. If the author was trying for some futuristic tonal inflection, he failed miserably. If he wasn't trying for that then the entire writing style and editing process failed even worse! I'm serious, people. There were question marks in the most bizarre places. Anyway, enough bashing. Needless to say, I didn't enjoy this book and won't be wasting my time on any more on the series? (Yes, question marks showed in places like that!)
