Amazing book. From a man's perspective, if you are a guy looking for a quick fling this book isn't for you. By reading this book, I realized that men are basically looking for exactly the same thing as women but we try so much to second guess them that we end up screwing this up a lot of time. This book will be just as helpful for a man or a woman. If you are looking for the right woman to spend your life with, this book offers so much insight as to what women are looking for in a long term relationship, I can't see how you can fail if you put your heart into it. When I read this book, I feel like in was Mel Gibson in the movie "What women want", it was like you could read their mind. I can't wait to read her next book "After the first kiss".

This book is extremely well written and makes a convincing case for approaching relationships differently. Without giving everything away, I plan to try the three month rule in my next relationship. It makes so much sense. Lots of wisdom here for women in the dating arena. It actually provides hope for creating healthy relationships. Thank you Chantal Heide, for the gift of your ingenuity!

Fun Reading, Practical Tips, Insightful, Well Written!

As a clinical social worker with over thirty years experience, I have worked with literally hundreds of couples and families. This book is hands down one of the most practical, realistic, and engaging "self-help" book I've ever read. It should be required reading for all girls, preferably by the time they graduate from high school.
And not just girls, either - I imagine men would benefit enormously from this as well!
Before you rush out to lay out a few hundred bucks on couples' therapy, start here. This book is delightfully written, and grounded on the most basic principles of successful relationships - a solid sense of self, the ability to laugh, a playful spirit, a meditative heart.
I heartily recommend this book to anyone who wants to be in a relationship, is in a relationship, or has been in a relationship!
