About the Author
As a child I spent more time than I'm going to admit to wishing I was Samantha from Bewitched. Yet despite hours spent perfecting the nose twitch; sadly I have to say that - so far at least - no magical ability has been discovered. Now I have to say it's looking unlikely, but remain hopeful. I was born in Kent in the UK and moved to France in 1998. I currently live, according to my husband, in LALA land but the rest of the time in the middle of nowhere in darkest Dordogne, as far from the real world as possible. I'm married with three daughters and a wild imagination. I like Tarot cards and anything creepy... except spiders.I worship at the altar of Florence + the Machine and am addicted to music, as long as it's LOUD! I love chocolate, think The Wizard of Oz is the scariest film I've ever seen and still believe in faeries ;) For more info about my work check out my website www.emmavleech.com Twitter: Emma V Leech@LaDameBlanche24 https://www.facebook.com/EmmaVLeech?ref=hl http://www.wattpad.com/user/LaDameBlanche

Spine-tingling
By Hellvis
I loved it. The language is magical, lyrical, and the descriptions are spectacular. Not just of scenery, but emotions, actions and interactions. It's fresh and vivid, and although I've read other works by the author it all feels very much like it's brand new, and I'm seeing into these strange and wonderful worlds for the very first time all over again. The magic is spine-tingling, and Corin, is, well, as he appears in The Dark Prince, but more so.
There were, of course, numerous occasions where I wanted to hit Corin with a sack of hammers, to knock some sense into him, fool that he is, but there's levity woven through the story, too. The interaction between Corin and Laen is priceless, and Claudette, as young and naive as she is, behaves admirably. She's sweet, but has a steel core, and can cut to the bone with precious few words - she's a quiet girl, so she sees more than others do. As a 'quiet girl' I can definitely identify with that.
Although she's infatuated, she's seen enough to believe that Corin is worth saving. What follows, of course, is a riot of emotions, deceit, understanding and decisions; utterly breathtaking, and heartbreaking all at the same time, and when everyone is on the same page, well, it's like the sun has come out after a long winter. Tentative and hopeful, creeping over mountains and through gulleys, caressing the landscape, and warming it slowly before breaking into glorious, golden rays of brilliance. It's really quite wonderful.

Leech is the best author that I have come across so far and ...
By Alecia
Emma V. Leech is the best author that I have come across so far and I have read a number of books. This book, the second in the series that she is writing about Prince Corin is heart wrenchingly amazing, getting so deep under your skin that you feel as though you are in the world that she has created for her tale. Reading this book, I was enchanted from the start, from meeting Corin for a second time as he appeared in the previous book, the first of the series, and getting to read his tale. Meeting Claudette was just as enchanting since I saw a lot of myself in the poor girl who had her heart stolen by the Prince of the Fae himself and then had it broken several times over only to end up with them both falling for one another. Emma has the amazing ability to get you so involved with her character and their emotions that you feel their turmoil when it happens, you feel their happiness as well as anything else that happens to them. When a character enters a scene for the first time, you can't help but read their description in awe as her words paint a picture in your mind of what said character would look like. The characters she create come to life with each word written, making it almost as if they are a living, breathing being beside you, reading the story with you and making you experience everything that it happening to them. If I could rate this book higher than the five stars that are given I would as in my personal opinion, Emma's writing is worth more stars than given.

If only words could describe it!
By Varsha
The Dark heart is a vortex of emotions...humor, loyalty, hurt, pain, sensuality, decadency, distrust, betrayal, greed, but most of all hope and love. There are some things even the most powerful cannot control, and Corin is the most powerful of them all. But, his duty is layered with compulsion, his decadency is layered with self-loathing, his sensual escapades are layered with desperation, his outward charm is layered with an intense battle with his inner daemons. His layers are thicker than the dark forest and there isn't a single soul that has ever seen past these layers, gained a glimpse of the real man that he is. He is an enigma, unsolved puzzle even to his best friend and that doesn't even begin to tell the complexity that is Corin.
His only hope at some semblance of normalcy is the one that he doesn't dare to hope...Love.
After two heart-breaks (or so he thought), Corin has given up on love. After all, what is love? He has seen it first hand how it diminishes even a stronger man to nothingness. So why for the love of the Gods would he want it? He just wants someone to be content in providing him with an heir to the throne and a spare if possible, in return to the title and all the wealth that he would provide for her. Why, indeed, bring the whole hassle of heart in this very sensible and practical deal in the first place? It is just that simple. And a simple girl is what he just has in his mind.
Claudette is no witch, no fae, she isn't even a university graduate yet. She is 19, hurt by her best friend and boyfriend, not to mention the breathtakingly handsome stranger who crashed into her world for a while and disappeared with not even a good bye, thank you very much. But she isn't the one to complain. Instead she gets a pixie cut and tries to get on with her life. She is innocent, curious, beautiful, easy to trust but she has the inner courage and strength that are not visible to mere lookers. She is also immensely in love with the stranger, no matter he upped and left to God knows where for over a year!
But then, the handsome stranger comes back...
Corin lands on earth in a bit of haste for Claudette, but the once star-struck girl is suddenly wary of him, may be because of Jehenne's caution to her? But Corin is desperate and in a hurry. He is about to do something he always considered very despicable while Claudette gets sucked into his whirlpool of charm faster than lightning. What Corin doesn't know is, what he is about to do is going to change his entire world...literally.
He is enchanting, engaging, witty, charming and unbelievably and "out worldly" handsome. Corin has a golden heart that he covers it up well with his carefree and sometimes careless attitude that he shows to the world. As you read, you end up feeling if only you could take away that pain, that torture. But they are his to bear, his prophecy and his unfulfilled promise. His powers are his boon as well as his curse. You cry for his pain, you bleed at his desperation but also you laugh at his gimmicks, you squirm in your seat to get comfortable while reading when his magical fingers touch a woman in the intimates places where you would want them to be on you, but at the same time you are ready to kill him when he touches anyone else but Claudette, and you want to read him a sermon when he stubbornly refuses to listen to his heart.
The Dark Heart gives you a most heart warming but equally heart wrenching story of these two completely opposite but equally compatible young and bruised human and fae. Emma creates for them a world that is full of mischief, courage, sensuality, heartache and love. Emma's writing is so flawless that you don't ever think that you are reading a story...for you it is actually happening. Every emotion, every movement, every twist and turn are your own. You can even smell the spring in the air, the pines in the forest. You become each and every character that you are reading.
You think your Heart can take it? Welcome to Emma's world...you need not look anywhere else anymore!
Thank you Emma for being Emma!
